The focus of chiropractic care is on the integrity of your nervous system.  Your brain, spinal cord and nerves control every aspect and function of your entire body.  The nervous system is a “superhighway” of communication within your body, which regulates and monitors every function and activity the body performs.  When nerves become interfered with (a condition called “subluxation”) either by an impingement or irritation, which is caused by a misalignment of a joint, it places pressure on the nerve.  This pressure can cause numbness, weakness and/or under-performance of muscles or organs.  Chiropractic care helps remove or reduce these interferences (“subluxations”), which allow the body to communicate more efficiently between systems.  Removing the interferences allows the body’s innate ability to heal itself to correct the bodies disease and the cause of the patient’s symptoms.
